But First, Country was an intimate gathering for mob, allies, and supporters, shaped around yarning, eating, listening, and celebrating. The atmosphere was built through music and a curated visual environment featuring imagery of Australian endemic flora, transforming the space into something sensory and grounded.

More than an installation, it was a moment of gathering. People came to connect, to feel good together, and to invest in First Nations design futures. The evening was featured as part of the official Melbourne Design Week program.
